FAQ

Common questions about the Norn API: what Norn is, how it differs from a chat model, what is live, and what it will cost.

Is the API live?

#

Not yet. Access opens from the waitlist. Join it and we will email you when your access is ready.

Norn itself is at work inside Native: the ideas Native suggests to its customers come through it.

What is Norn?

#

Norn is Native’s model for one decision: what to post. It does not write the post. It weighs a brand’s material, its history and its feedback, and returns ideas in order, best first.

The name comes from the norns of Norse myth, who weave fate at the roots of the world tree. Meet Norn tells the story.

How is this different from asking a chat model for ideas?

#

A chat model gives you the most likely ideas, and those tend to be the ones everyone else gets too. Norn ranks ideas by how well they should work for one brand, using what that brand’s people kept and turned down and how its posts performed.

Norn’s ideas also cite their sources, so a claim about the business can be checked before it is posted.

Does Norn write the posts?

#

No. Each idea comes with a prompt you can give to any generative model, and an outline if you would rather write it yourself. Inside Native, Native writes and designs the post from the same idea.

Does Norn learn from my feedback?

#

Yes, for the brand the feedback is about. Decisions shape what Norn suggests next for that brand, and reasons become lessons it follows. See Feedback.

What happens to the data I send?

#

The terms that come with your access set out how what you send is stored and used. If you need the details before you join, write to hei@native.no.

Which languages does it work in?

#

Ideas are written in the brand’s language, whichever it is. Norn does not check that an idea came back in that language yet, so tell it with the reason wrong_language when one did not.

Which channels are the ideas for?

#

Ideas are not tied to a channel. Norn suggests a format, such as a carousel or a short video, and you decide where the post goes. One idea can become a post on several channels.

What will it cost?

#

Pricing is not set yet. You will see the price before you are charged anything.

Is there an SDK?

#

Not yet. The API is JSON over HTTPS, and every example comes in cURL, TypeScript and Python. If you build with a coding agent, give it llms-full.txt, which holds these docs as plain text.

Who is it for?

#

Products that help businesses market themselves: content tools, website builders, booking systems, CRMs, and agencies with many clients. If your users ask "what should I post?", Norn is meant to answer.
